Thank you for your letter of 28 September in reply to mine of 17 September. The Foreign Office have now given me their advice on your prefatory chapter and, as you anticipated, neither they nor I have any problems with the text enclosed with your letter.
As to your second concern, I can confirm that we shall do our best to respond promptly if you have any further textual changes to put to us, although I cannot of course guarantee what the answer will be. The most convenient way of sending any revisions would be in the form of marked up copies of the text, copied to David Gillmore's Office.
