Dear Terry,
I will be retiring from service with the Hong Kong Government on 26 June. With effect from that date the Industrial Promotion Unit in this office will merge with the Commercial Division and the new Commercial Division will be headed by Ian Howard as Assistant Commissioner (Commercial). Simon Fan will be responsible for commercial relations within the Division.
I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for your warm cooperation in past years. I hope that you enjoyed it as much as I did.
I am sorry not to have been able to say farewell personally, but I have been wearing my other hat in Austria and the Nordic countries for the past few weeks and now time is all too short.
