Dear

ORGANISED CRIME

-

JOINT ACTION GROUP

I enclose a copy of the conclusions of our meeting on Wednesday 17th March 1993 plus a list of those present.

The exercise of presenting a "hypothetical criminal" proved worthwhile, and interesting further action is being considered.

Following the presentations on the broader subject of crime committed by West Africans, the valuable discussions led to an agreement from NCIS to undertake work in a sub group to examine the problem and identify further requirements. On the same subject, the MPS will be approaching the British Banking Association and the Building Societies Association to progress prevention.

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 9th June 1993 at 2.30pm at McMorran Hall, City of London Police, 37 Wood Street, LONDON EC2P 2NQ when there will be presentations on "Politically motivated Fraud" by the DSS, and "Hong Kong - the implications of 1997 for the group" by the MPS. It is intended that the meeting thereafter will deal inter alia' with Eastern European Crime.

Can you please advise my Secretariat (071-230 3594) if you are able to attend the meeting.

I thank you

for your continued support and look forward to meeting you in June.

Yours

regoingerely
