I have the honour to refer to the arrangement which
began on 1 September 1963 whereby Her Majesty's Government
made available judges of the Supreme Court of Hong Kong for
the purpose of staffing the High Court and the Court of
Appeal of Brunei. This arrangement was continued by an
Exchange of Notes of 7 January 1979.
Her Majesty's Government are content that this
arrangement should lapse from 1 January 1993.
Her Majesty's Government understand that the
Government of Brunei Darussalam are also content that this
arrangement should lapse from 1 January 1993.
