understand that the
Government of Brunei Darussalam are also content that
this arrangement should lapse from 1 January 1993.
If the foregoing correctly represents the
understanding reached between the Government of
Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty's Government, I have
the honour to propose that the present Note and your
Government's reply to that effect should place on
record the understanding between our two Governments
on this matter.
I avail myself of this opportunity to renew to
Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran the assurance of my highest
consideration."
In reply to your Note, I have pleasure in confirming
that the proposal set out in your Note is acceptable to the
Government of Brunei Darussalam and that your Note and this
reply will place on record the understanding of our two
Governments in this matter.
