transport merits of the proposed railway,
and the rationale for the alignment
selection of a light-rail system;
and
(b) the financial
viability of the proposed
railway and the extent to which this is
dependent on the granting of land for property
development;
(c) the
company's justification for the Hong Kong
Government dealing only with Cheung Kong and
granting exclusive property development rights
in association with the railway, rather than
seeking competitive tenders; and
(d) how a
connection can be made to the Airport
Railway (AR), as proposed by Cheung Kong, when
ho station will be built at Cheung Sha Wan ac
part of the initial AR system.
