The Legislation Secretariat in the Cabinet Office will need to be in contact with the officials responsible for bids for Government Bills in January. Discussions in Future Legislation
Committee (FLG) will probably begin in early February. Departments should bear in mind that, in addition to seeking agreement for Bills to be included in the legislative programme, they must also obtain policy clearance from the appropriate
Cabinet Committee. Please let me know if you require any further
guidance on this.
