Deadline for transfer to pensionable terms for the purpose of benefiting from any compensation scheme for HMOCS members

When HKG approves an application from an officer on agreement terms to transfer to pensionable terms the officer has the choice of transferring either when he is found medically fit or at any time before the expiry of his
contract.
9.
The Secretary
of State has decided that he will not consider applications from officers in the service of Hong Kong for membership of HMOCS unless the officer concerned has, in fact, transferred to pensionable terms by 30 April 1993. It is emphasised that this deadline applies only to eligibility for membership of HMOCS and consequences for any scheme affecting members of HMOCS.
