any other pension described (expressly or otherwise) or
referred to in the relevant law as an additional pension or
as to be paid in addition to some other Hong Kong Pension,
but does not include a pension granted under section 18 of Cap 89, section 19 of Cap 99 or section 20 of Cap 401.]
(5) "Date of retirement" means the date of retirement in respect
of which the relevant pension is paid under the law of Hong
Kong.
3.
Notional Hong Kong pension ("NHKP") and United Kingdom
pension base" ("UKPB")
This section sets out how to calculate the sums payable in
respect of a Hong Kong pension which may be eligible for
supplementation in accordance with the Scheme.
(A) In the case of a member of HMOCS who retires after the
publication of the scheme
(i) Identify the pensioner's salary point and allowances for the
substantive grade held by him on the date of his retirement
which would, apart from this provision, be taken into account as
the pensionable emoluments of the pensioner and then determine
the salary and allowances appropriate to the salary point of
that grade on 1st January 1992. Calculate the pensionable
emoluments by substituting the salary and allowances at 1st
January 1992 for any higher salary and allowances attributable
to the pensioner. The sum obtained are the basic pensionable
emoluments for the purposes of this Scheme:
Provided that if the pensionable emoluments which,
disregarding the above provision, are to be taken in accordance with the relevant law for calculating a pension are less than the basic pensionable emoluments as calculated in accordance with this Scheme, the pensionable emoluments
