HONG KONG IN THE EVENT OF THE RATE OF EXCHANGE INCREASING ABOVE

Commencement of scheme

1st July 1997.

Pensions falling within the scheme

(1) Pensions payable to members of HMOCS and their dependants

(other than such members or dependants resident in Hong Kong or

elsewhere in the People's Republic of China) under a relevant

law of Hong Kong, [other than additional pensions].

(2) "Relevant law" means:

the Pensions Ordinance (Cap 89);

the Pension Benefits Ordinance (Cap 99);

the Pension Benefits (Judicial Officers) Ordinance

Cap 401);

the Widow's and Children's Pensions Ordinance (Cap 79);

and any ordinance repealed and replaced by any of the

foregoing.

(3) "Relevant law" in relation to any pensioner, means the relevant law under which he receives a pension.

(4) ["Additional pensions" means pensions granted pursuant to:

regulation 31 of the Pensions Regulations made under Cap 89;

section 15, 16 or 17 of Cap 99;

section 15,17 or 18 of Cap 401;
