On behalf of the Security Council Committes established by resolution 661 (1990) concerning the situation between Iraq and Kuwait, I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 7 April 1993 concerning the intended shipment to Iraq of la million polylined baga for food packaging, 100,000 set of fluorsecent lamps with its holder, 3,000 boxes of agricultural tractor spare parts, 200,000 fluorescent tubas, 20,000 fluorescent fixtures and 560,000 electrical bulbs. For security and inspection purposes, a copy of your communication is attached hereto.
I have the honour to inform you that, in accordance with the committee's decision taken on 22 March 1991
(document S/23400), the members of the Committes have no objection to the sending of the specified items which fall within the category of materials and supplies for essential civilian needs referred to in paragraph 20 of Security Council resolution 687 (1991).
Further, I have the honour to suggest that your Government ensure that copies of this communication ara provided to those engaged in the shipment of the specified items destined for īraq,
