SOMALIA SANCTIONS
Thank you for your letter of 14 July, to Annadele Bouch, I have been asked to reply. The UN Security Council passed a resolution (733) setting up an arms embargo, on 23/1/92. On the 24 January all DTI Export Licences for all arms and military equipment to Somalia issued under the Export of Goods (Control) Order were revoked and HM Customs and Excise were alerted. I enclose a copy of the resolution for your
reference.
