7. I questioned how the cost of the high-speed rail link would be met. My interlocutors saw no problem with assembling DO GECA the funds. They have in mind a link on French lines. know of this? Are KCRC aware of possible collaboratoin opportunities (eg the design of the rolling-stock for the new high-speed Kowloon-Canton line is British?)

9. The Pearl River bridge is likely to be a post-1997 concept. But U. K. companies ought to be forming up on Zhuhai and on H. K. G. as well as on possible project diretors like Gordon Wu, whose idea it originally was (but at that stage Zhuhai/Shekou).
