ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

CBF Hong Kong is responsible for:
a.
The accommodation, administration and logistic support of all reinforcements after arrival in Hong Kong.
b. Maintaining in Hong Kong maps required for reinforcing units.
c.
Arranging through Host Nation Support (HNS) or from residual Theatre stocks to provide troop carrying vehicles, plant and other materiel required by reinforcing units to bring them to operational effectiveness.
58. HQ UKLF is responsible for the provision of C Sups for reinforcing units as detailed at Annex D.

Commander British Forces Cyprus. If an Eastabout route is to be used, Commander British Forces Cyprus is to:

Provide staging facilities at RAF Akrotiri.
Inform MOD, by reference to serials in JTPS 1 and 121 replaced by JTP 1000 in 1994, of the requirement for individual reinforcements to support RAF Akrotiri.

DEPLOYMENT SCALES
61. Arms. All weapons are to be moved to Hong Kong. This provides units with the flexibility to transfer roles within Theatre and the ability to redeploy intact worldwide. The actual weapon requirement will be assessed at the JTP 30 initial planning stage and staff tables adjusted accordingly.

Ammunition. All reinforcements will deploy with small arms and IS ammunition for 1st Line and 10 DAER at IS/CI scales. Initially, there will be no requirement for Support Weapons natures. Additional natures and quantities of ammunition may be required specifically for TI operations, in which case they will be included in initial planning figures. BFHK will declare to what extent deployment quantities can be reduced by use of residual stocks held in Hong Kong or Brunei.
