consult you as it proceeds.
In the meantime, I note your suggestion that
that we should
consider using a battalion on duties outside Hong Kong. It so
happens that we would see considerable advantage in moving one
of the Gurkha battalions to carry out an emergency tour in Belize
from Oct 1993 to March 1994. On the assumption that you are
content with this and without prejudging the outcome of the work
described above, I plan to proceed on that basis.
