Notes:
The above timetable assumes that adoption of the one battalion/symbolic presence option is directed by Ministers at OPD (K); which would necessitate extensive re-drafting of a number of key sections of the 1993 Review document.

If the extant two battalion concept and rundown plan is confirmed and endorsed by OPD (K) a faster timetable would certainly be possible; particularly in light of the
the generally favourable response to the existing 2* draft. The second 2* circulation shown above would be unnecessary.

3. A meeting of the OPD(K) earlier than end May 93 would permit a faster staffing timetable. Conversely, a later OPD (K) would impose further delay on the timetable, unless of course the OPD (K) final decision is to endorse the current plan and concept.
Where practicable, some concurrent staffing activity on aspects of the Review will continue, pending the final Ministerial decision on the way ahead for the Garrison rundown.
