Telecom International will continue to provide the normal communications services at Headquarters. Communications at the Airport Meteorological Office will be provided by the Civil Aviation Department together with Hong Kong Telecom International. The other communications facilities will be maintained by the Royal Observatory.
EMERGENCY ARRANGEMENTS

All Royal Observatory staff working at the Airport Meteorological Office will come under the Director of Civil Aviation for accommodation, rationing, etc.

The Director, Royal Observatory will be responsible for the accommodation, rationing, etc. of all his staff and for the members of their families at the Observatory establishments. As far as possible, normal feeding arrangements will be maintained.

In the event that food is not forthcoming, an order for rations will be placed with the Food Unit (see Chapter 12) direct, or by passing the request to the GSECC.

The Director, Royal Observatory will be responsible for recommending what stocks of emergency stores are required for the anticipated duration of the emergency and will obtain them from the Director of Government Supplies. All departmental vehicles will be returned by transport staff to the various establishments for the changing of shift duties, maintenance of instruments and other essential trips.
