Members of the Department will be placed on duty at the gates to the security fences around Headquarters, the King's Park Meteorological Station, the Tate's Cairn Meteorological Radar Station and the Cheung Chau Aeronautical Meteorological and Radio Station.

The Royal Observatory Headquarters and the King's Park Meteorological Station are designated as potential closed areas. The Director, Royal Observatory will consult the Police in the event of a perceived threat to staff travelling to or from remote locations.
