The Royal Navy undertakes regular patrols in support of the Marine Police. Naval reinforcements will be deployed if it is necessary to discourage armed aggression or incursion, or to offer armed resistance, or in

support of a Marine Police launch under threat by a more heavily armed vessel.

The Army undertakes small boat patrols in Deep Bay and Starling Inlet and around the Tolo Peninsular in liaison with and where appropriate under direction of Marine Police.
