When severe disruption of train services in consequence of a mishap or other major incident

?

a Chief Train Operations Controller (CTOC) and a Chief Passenger Services Controller (CPSC) will assume duties in the Control Centre. The CTOC will be in overall command and control of train service arrangements while the Chief Passenger Services Manager will coordinate with Transport Department, Police and other transport operators externally and stations internally on crowd control, alternative transport arrangements, etc, so that the needs of passengers and the public can be best looked after.

The OCC in the Light Rail Transit Depot is manned on a 24-hour basis. In the event of LRT service being disrupted severely, the OCC will liaise with the TD (ETCC), MTR, KMB, KCRC Bus Division, etc. regarding the provision of alternative transport services.
