Customs staff will work in shifts, assisted by one storeman/tallyman to each godown/cold store. They will check the drawing of reserved commodities with representatives of the godown/cold store before directing its loading on to lorries. (If possible, the loading staff of the godown/cold store should be used

After loading, lorries will be despatched to selected retailers who will issue supplies to the general public.

15.

The officer-in-charge of each godown/cold store party will maintain a check chart showing details of lorry loads and their destinations.

16.

The team of Food Unit members and tallymen at the godowns/cold stores will issue the godown/cold store companies with receipts for all reserved commodities drawn each day, and will obtain from the retail shop/supermarket, at the time of delivery, receipts for reserved commodities issued to the retailer.

17.

These receipts will be handed to the accounts clerks at the godown/cold store each time a lorry returns there after delivery. The progress chart will also serve as an additional check for accounting. Stocks of printed documents for all these purposes are held by the Director-General of Trade.
