THE AUXILIARY MEDICAL SERVICES
IN A MAJOR EMERGENCY

Commissioner, Auxiliary Medical Services Director of Health) is responsible to the Governor for the efficient operation of the Auxiliary Medical Services. His responsibilities include :
to
ensure
the
(a) the training, organisation and equipping of the Auxiliary Medical Services so as rapid and effective mobilisation of the Services in an emergency in order to carry out the tasks listed in paragraph 2 below;
• (b)
the allocation of Auxiliary Medical Services manpower, equipment and stores in carrying out these tasks;
(c)
the

maintenance in suitable locations of such stores as are necessary to carry out the tasks;
the
establishment
of liaison
with these
