A secondary threat is industrial action by employees of the Gas Company.

Load Shedding

5.

If and when load shedding becomes necessary it should be carried out as far as possible on a selective basis. Every effort would be made to

maintain supplies to the following services :

(a) hospitals;

(b)

essential canteens;

(c) essential Government Offices and

(d)

other civil installations; and

the Airport.

It is possible to be reasonably selective in load shedding even if it means excavation and cutting the main or service pipe.

Repairs

7.

The Company will be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance. Damage to equipment or pipes causing an escape of gas would be treated as of utmost priority.
