The security of substations will largely be dependent on the physical strength of the buildings. They will be secured as firmly as possible and, for the most part, left unattended. The open air sub-stations are especially vulnerable.

Power supplies fed on pylon lines are exceptionally vulnerable to sabotage throughout the length of the lines. In a situation where determined sabotage is expected, all overhead power supplies on pylons (as opposed to poles) should be considered as strategically important as they carry the bulk of outlets from CLP power stations.
