Call Out Arrangements
17.
On notification of an emergency, depot staff and station operational staff will be instructed to report to their respective depots or stations. Immediately it is announced that a curfew is to be imposed, staff at the depots and at out stations will be instructed to remain on duty until relieved.
Reporting Procedure
18.
Depot Commanders will be responsible for reporting to the Director the approximate quantity of water available for distribution in each district after such checks as are practicable, to enable him to decide what supplies can safely be given.
19.
Outstations will report all untoward incidents to their respective Depot Commanders who will be responsible for transmitting this information to the Director.
20.
Reports of incidents received by Depot Commanders, either directly or via WSD Headquarters, will be immediately investigated and action taken as necessary, including the transmission of a direct supplementary report to any utility companies affected. Depot Commanders will then report back to DWS.
