The Supreme Court and District Court

The Chief
Justice will advise the Registrar, Supreme Court, of the manner in which the Supreme Court and the District Courts will operate during an emergency.
This will depend on the extent of the disturbances, the limitations imposed by curfew and type and number of cases being processed. The aim will be to hear cases arising from the emergency as quickly as possible.

Should normal systems breakdown, the Rations Officer at Food Unit HQ (see Chapter 12, Part IV) will make arrangements for magistrates and court staff.
Accommodation

Should it be necessary, the Registrar, Supreme Court will arrange for emergency bedding to be provided in the court premises. This will be supplied by the Auxiliary Medical Services. Magistrates and staff will be accommodated for the night if they are unable to travel safely to and from their homes.
