There will be no special arrangements for the supply of water for fire-fighting when mains are functioning normally. In the event that water mains are turned off, turn-cocks will be stationed at fire stations in the affected areas. Requests for action under this paragraph will be made by the Director of Fire Services to the Director of Water Supplies.
TRANSPORT

The Controller. Government Land Transport will provide any additional vehicles needed for transportation of Fire Services resources during an emergency.

Maintenance and repair of all Fire Services vehicles, excluding ambulances, and general purpose vehicles, is normally performed by Fire Services Workshops. In an emergency, Fire Services Workshops will also repair and maintain, if necessary, all Fire Services vehicles normally maintained by DEMS.
FEEDING

All Fire Services premises are provided with cooking facilities. In the event of a shortage of food, canteens will be supplied with dry rations in accordance with the arrangements detailed in Chapter 12, Part IV.
FUEL SUPPLIES

Fire stations and ambulance depots will maintain a self-supporting stock of fuel by underground tanks and/or fuel drums. Fire Services transport and equipment will be refuelled from these stocks. Should fuel supply be reduced to a dangerous level, then fuel will be supplied in accordance with the arrangements detailed in Chapter 10.
