(a)
Internal
company
Security
(IS) Companies Each IS
normally comprises a company
headquarters and four platoons, with a total strength of 170 all ranks;
(b)
Light Striking Forces
(c)
each LSF will
consist of a Headquarters and two Columns with a
total strength of 22 all ranks; the purpose of the LSF is to provide a mobile unit under the control of the District Commander which is capable of tackling and suppressing outbreaks of disorder in the initial stages;
Internal Security Patrols - patrols of four in vehicles or on foot, which may be deployed in an IS situation to replace normal watch and ward beat duties; and
(d) Escort Companies these are provided by the Auxiliary Police or Regional Traffic controlled by the Staff
formations and are
Officer
(Escorts)
of
the
Regional
Administration Group; they provide escort
explosives,
for prisoners,
sensitive
movement of equipment and personnel or any
escort required.
Each Escort Company
comprises a total of 122 men, all ranks.

Key Point Guards
Auxiliary
Police

Administrative and Logistic Support

Groups.
While the Police Force, or part of it, is mobilised into the IS structure, administrative and logistic support will be provided by the PHQ Administrative Group and by Regional Administrative These groups will be charged with ensuring that the requirements of operational commanders in respect of personnel, finance, stores, catering and welfare services are met promptly and efficiently. Logistic support will cover the provision of transport (including marine transport and armoured personnel carriers), mobile canteens and assistance to military Units in the form of interpreters, accommodation
