The
The Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force comprises some 5,746 all ranks and may be called out by the Commissioner of Police with the prior approval of the Governor. The Auxiliary Police may reinforce the Regular Police in a number of capacities. Royal Hong Kong Regiment (RHKR (V)) comprises some 946 all ranks and may be called out in whole or part by the Governor. The Regiment would then come under the operational command of CBF. Its most likely tasks would be guarding key points, reconnaissance patrols, and escort duties. The RHKAAF comprises about 236 all ranks and is equipped with 4 single-engined aircraft, 3 twin-engined aircraft and 8 helicopters. It may be called out in whole or part by the Governor and would then come under the operational command of Commander Royal Air Force, and be tasked by JATC . RHKAAF helicopters may be employed on a variety of tasks, including the transport of security forces and other essential personnel, resupply, casualty evacuation, and reconnaissance.
The RHKAAF's fixed-wing aircraft can be used for voice broadcasting, aerial photography and short and
reconnaissance
long-range
maritime
and surveillance
patrols.
