A member of the SSCPS or WOPS who dies in service before exercising an election to cease contributing will be deemed
remain in the respective scheme. However, an officer who is not already a contributor to the SSCPS and WOPS and who dies in service before exercising an election to join the SSCPS will not be deemed to have elected to join the scheme.
Irrevocable Election
15.
An election to join the SSCPS or to leave the SSCPS or the WOPS once made is irrevocable. However, any contributor who has opted out may later rejoin if he meets the criteria set out in paragraph 4(a) and (c) above.
Amendments to Civil Service Regulations
16.
Amendments to the relevant Civil Service Regulations and Annexes to reflect the new arrangements will be issued at a later stage.
