As a
Kingdom and a
result of the revisions in rail fares in the United decline in the exchange rate of pound sterling against Hong Kong dollars, the rates of domestic travel allowance payable under Civil Service Regulation 1420 have been revised as follows -
Adults :
(including children aged 16 and over)
From $1.68 to $1.48 per kilometre.
Children :
(5 or over but under 16 years)
From 84 cents to 74 cents per kilometre.
The revised rates take retrospective effect from 3 January 1993 and apply to journeys made on or after this date.

Annex 9.7 on "Rates of Domestic Travel Allowance" should be replaced by the attached Amendment Sheet No.
5 /93.
