Charges for Workshop Services of
Electrical and Mechanical Services Department

Introduction
Financial Circular No. 5/92 stipulates charging arrangements for maintenance and repair of government vehicles and related services provided by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD). This Circular advises departments of similar charging arrangements in respect of other workshop services provided by EMSD. The charging arrangements will also apply to autonomous bodies like Urban Council, Regional Council, Hong Kong Housing Authority etc., except Hospital Authority for which separate arrangements will be made.
Scope and Basis of Charging

Charging arrangements will be extended with effect from 1 April 1993 to cover, in addition to vehicle maintenance and related activities, the following services -
(a) maintenance and overhauls carried out by the Mechanical Plant Section and the Electrical, Air-conditioning and
Section
for
all
Refrigeration electrical and mechanical plant and
equipment
emergency
including · sets, activated carbon systems, filtration plants, hot
generating filter
