RESPONSIBILITIES
Under
the
Secretary for Works, to be responsible to the Financial Secretary for implementing the Public Works Programme (PWP), in respect of non-Airport Core Programme (non-ACP) projects, so as to ensure the completion of projects on time and within budget as agreed under the Resource Allocation System.

Having regard to projects and funds already committed under the PWP, together with the outcome of Resource Allocation Exercises and the Annual Estimates, to consider the adequacy of staff and other resources available to implement the non-ACP part of the Public Works Programme. Where capacity constraints have been identified, to formulate and recommend solutions to the Financial Secretary, including the prioritisation of
of projects, with a view to optimising the use of resources.
To
monitor and coordinate the implementation of projects, So as to follow up where there may be or has been delay, and to introduce remedial measures.
To monitor the capacity of the construction industry to take on projects arising from the PWP.

To consider means of resolving Branch interface problems.

To respond to any other issues Committee by the Financial Secretary.
