1) the glass counters at L5 will be to B/R specifications. The door from L6 to the corridor will be electrically controlled.

m) on Level 6 there will be separate door access D10 and D20 from the public lift lobby which need not be locked during normal office hours. The counter division between D9 and D10 will not be glazed. Controlled doors to prevent public access to main offices and staff lift lobby will be necessary. emergency exit at D20 should go into the staircase and not the corridor of Commercial Section (as shown on the plans).

n) there will be a controlled lock on C3 side (level 7) to prevent public access to staff lifts.

The

o) the normal access to level 9 of Consulate-General will be via the two " central" staff lifts. The two side staircases are emergency exits only and will be protected by modified Oxford doors openable from the inside only.

p) the entrance from the lift lobby on level 9 will be protected by PBCL masking door plus Cambridge or solid core door with Medway unit.

q) the normal access to level 10 of Consulate-General is via internal staircase from level 9. The lifts will be blocked off by concertina type grills but can be used under supervision to bring heavy goods to this level. The two side staircases are again emergency exits only and will be protected by modified Oxford doors openable from the inside only.

r) the entrance to B3 and B12 will be protected by PBCL masking doors plus Oxford doors.

Mr Smith also pointed out that: -

a) there would be a document hoist between levels 4 and 5 on the Consulate-General side.

b) the area size of the Commercial waiting/reception exhibition and conference facilities (at level 6) is 172m2 compared to the existing BTC areas of 123m2 and SOR requirements 148m2
