I should be grateful for your urgent comments on the attached four pages which arrived by fax this morning.
The terms of the draft Note in reply to the Swiss conditions seem reasonable, but as I am unfamiliar with the terms of the arrangements made for Hong Kong post-1997, before I reply to Mr Hunter may I please have your confirmation that you see no objection to the line he is proposing. If you would like any further points to be made, please let me have a form of words. You will see that the Swiss require a reply before 9 November.
