56 Tavistock Place LONDON

WC1 9RG

I refer to your letter of 25 October.

With regard to the possible publication of privileged documents which may have come into your possession, the views which I expressed in my letters to you of 30 April and 2 December 1991 remain valid and I have nothing to add.

As you yourself say, the matters raised in your letter have been considered by the courts in relation to Mr Osman's eight applications for a writ of habeas corpus. A ninth

application is pending. We have no further comment to make.
