The Rt Hon Tony Benn MP has written to the Secretary of State,
enclosing a letter about the Osman case from Mr Kevin Cahill, the
journalist interested in the case. Mr John Marek MP has written to
Lord Caithness, enclosing an identical letter from Mr Cahill. I submit draft replies to the two letters from the Secretary of State
and Lord Caithness.
2. Mr Cahill has already written in similar terms to the Prime
Minister, the Secretary of State and FCO officials (my submission of
D 9 March). He has been given a departmental reply, as agreed by Lord
Caithness.
