At the Steering Committee meeting held on 21 November 1991, members considered the profile of OG 20 "Other Teaching Personnel" and advised that personality checks and verification interviews should be carried out for applicants who scored the highest number of provisional points within their quota of 2,247. Since then, members have noted the results of personality checks and verification interviews on 117 principal applicants and their dependants, and advised that their applications be submitted to the Governor for recommendation to the Secretary of State for registration as British citizens. Recently, the Immigration Department has completed personality checks and verification interviews on another 103 principal applicants, their 80 spouses and 129 minor children. The checks and interviews have not revealed any adverse information on any of these applicants or their dependants. All the 103 principal applicants and their 209 dependants appear to be suitable for recommendation by the Governor to the Secretary of State for registration as British citizens pursuant to Section 1(1) and Schedule 2 respectively of the British Nationality (Hong Kong) Act 1990, subject to confirmation of no change in the applicants' circumstances.
