Fifth batch of "Information Science Professionals" interviewed
Purpose
This paper informs members of the results of personality checks and verification interviews on 51 of the 1,870 potentially successful applicants in Occupational Group 9 "Information Science Professionals". Subject to members' agreement and confirmation with the applicants that there is no change in their circumstances, the 51 cases will be submitted to the Governor for recommendation to the Secretary of State for registration as British citizens under the British Nationality (Hong Kong) Act 1990.
Advice sought

Members will be invited to -
-
(a) note the results of personality checks and verification interviews on 51 potentially successful "Information Science Professionals"; and
(b) advise whether the applications from
from these 51 principal applicants and their dependants be submitted to the Governor for recommendation to the Secretary of State for registration as British citizens under the British Nationality (Hong Kong) Act 1990.
