Simplification of routine papers to be circulated

Members noted that the processing applications had reached a stage that more and more cases from those who had passed the personality checks and verification interviews would have to be circulated to them in future for advice on whether such applications should be submitted to the Governor for recommendation to the Secretary of State. Efforts were being made to simplify the routine papers so as to reduce the amount of paperwork. Future information on processing of applications in individual occupational groups would be summarised in a table-attached to a covering paper and would be circulated to members for information and advice.
