under the British Nationality (Hong Kong) Selection Order 1990. Following previous practice the DTI have checked with Companies House in respect of those 5 companies in Hong Kong which claimed a connection with a British Company (List 1). Apart from a few minor queries which have now been resolved
the DTI are content and have approved all the names. List number 2 contains the names of 67 British Companies in the UK whose names were not registered at Companies House. However we have now checked their status with them and are satisfied that they qualify as British Undertakings under our

Departments. However a person who has worked for the Royal Mint or the Engineering Training Authority would have been in Crown Service for the purposes of the Order.
