Proposed Changes to the Points System
Purpose
This paper outlines the proposals to revise the existing points system in respect of the following attributes :-
(a) qualifications;
(b) special circumstances relating to outstanding occupational achievement, voluntary service and acts of bravery or gallantry; and
(c) public or community service.
Qualifications

Pursuant to Article 13(3)(a) of the Schedule to the British Nationality (Hong Kong) (Selection Scheme) Order 1990 (hereafter the Schedule), the points to be allocated to an applicant for professional or vocational qualifications shall, in the case of
of an applicant in a specified occupational group (OG), be the points indicated opposite the highest qualification attained by the applicant listed in Annex 4 of the Schedule in respect of that OG.
