Background
In the 1991 LegCo election, Wan Chai district, together with Eastern district, form the Hong Kong Island East Constituency. Wan Chai DB members are of the view that such demarcation was unfair to Wan Chai as it is the smaller of the two districts. They hope that the district could become a separate LegCo geographical constituency in the 1995 elections

The HKG will take the views of all sectors of the community into account in the review on this issue.
