4. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

a)

Each member of the party must be in possession of a valid passport. Visas are required for The Philippines.

b) The Civil Service Occupational Health Service recommend the following inoculations:

Polio

Hepatitis A Rabies

valid 10 years valid 5 years valid 2-6 months - valid 1 year

c) Blood: It is essential for members of the party to know their blood group before going overseas. Those (other than FCO staff) wishing to find out their blood group should go to the Civil Service Occupational Health service at Murray House, 3 Vandon Street, to have blood taken for this, and to know if they have Hepatitis A antibodies (for appointments, telephone 273 6331). FCO staff should go to the FCO Medical Unit at St Thomas' Hospital (for appointments, telephone 071 928 4898). The Blood Group Card and Hepatitis A results are sent by post. Members of the party should carry this card with them when travelling overseas.

BAGGAGE

The free baggage allowance on commercial flights is 40 kgs for First and 30 kgs for Club Class.

Additionally, all passengers are allowed one piece of cabin baggage, the dimensions of which when added together do not exceed 114 cm (45 ins) nor weigh more than 5 kgs.
