I shall be in Washington on 4 March primarily for talks on Latin American subjects. But I want to take the opportunity to raise a few Asian matters. Mr Solomon is away for a month but I expect to see Messrs Desaix Anderson, Lyman and Bjerejian.
2.
I should be grateful for briefs by MONDAY 2 MARCH focusing clearly on points where we need to move the Americans to our point of view or to extract information from them. Background can be kept to the essential minimum. Grateful if Departments could cover the following (and anything else they consider desirable).
