references to the Joint Declaration. David Wilson will be
explaining our position to Senator McConnell and to
Claiborne Pell and David Boren during their visit to Hong
Kong today and tomorrow.
i would like to take this opportunity to thank you
for your very constructive interest in, and support for,
Hong Kong. The key to a successful transition is to
maintain confidence in Hong Kong in the run-up to 1997.
