Mr TSANG's elder brother,
on
was arrested at Shenzhen 1.12.1989 on espionage charge and for being involved in the June 4 incident. He was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment (Shaoguan Prison). There was no open trial and he was forbidden Even visits were not allowed to retain the service of lawyers. until after May, 1990.
Mr TSANG believes his brother was not a spy but was being framed. His brother's wife and two children (aged 3 and 5) are in the Mainland. Mr TSANG hopes the authorities will assist him to find at the reason(s) for his brother's imprisonment and to see whether the sentence can be remitted.
I have discussed the above with the appellant and my opinion is: (The authorities) may look into the case and lend assistance.
