CHINESE NAME FOR MRS PATTEN
249
(253)
1. Thank you for copying me Mr Hoare's letter of June.
The only reason I can think of for not following the advice
from the Commissioner for Chinese Language is if Mrs Patten
would prefer the first character of her Chinese name, or the
whole name, to represent her English maiden name. I am sure
Hong Kong could come up with some other suggestions if so.
No.
