Deputy Secretary, Economic Affairs Division, Government of Pakistan (the Central Government Responsible for negotiation of foreign economic assistance with major bilateral donors and multilateral institutions such as the World Bank and Asian Development Bank and acted as the key Government official for co-ordinating foreign aid issues for the Pakistan Aid Consortium. Responsibilities included negotiation of projoot aid, food, aid, commodity aid technical assistance and preparation of documents for the annual Aid Consortium Meeting.

Responsible for policy analysis and administrative measures for promoting the country's commodity exports through appropriate policy support, exchange rates, tariff measures, etc. Also responsible for export of commodities (cotton, jute, tea, leather etc.) through bilateral trade and payment arrangements with centrally planned economies.
