3. LAW AND ORDER
The Government ig very much aware of public
concern over law and order, especially about armed
robberies. We have taken concrete measures to tackle
the problem by improving our liaison with the Chinese
authorities, strengthening the Police presence on the
streets, investigative and intelligence work, and
exploring new ways of improving recruitment and
retention of Junior Police Officers. These seem to be
yielding results.
